Originally known as M. Leff Radio Parts, the company was founded in Braddock, PA, and operated out of the back of a station wagon by Max Leff starting in 1946. Over the next several years Max set up a number of storefronts, mainly in the Monongahela Valley of the Pittsburgh region. During that time the product line was made up mainly of repair parts for television, radio and small appliance replacement parts used by local and area service repair men.

Leff Electronics

By the 1960's the company was working out of just two locations with the bulk of the business conducted from the Braddock location, which included a newly constructed three-story warehouse as an addition to the existing storefront on Braddock Ave. The other remaining facility was located in Greensburg, PA, servicing Westmoreland County and surrounding areas. Max's son Jerry grew up in the business and worked as a full time employee throughout his high school and college years, taking time away from the company for military service duties during the early to mid 1960's.

By the early 1970's the company focus had shifted to industrial electronic parts supplying original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and local assembly business. Around this same time the company name was changed from M Leff Radio Parts to Leff Electronics, reflecting the shift in product offering now focused more on the OEM markets and less on the supply of repair parts.

The mid 1980's brought about the closing of the Greensburg location with all operations being conducted from the Braddock office, warehouse and storefront location. The business continued to gain substantial OEM market share over the next 20 or more years under the direction and ownership of Jerry Leff.

In 2002 Rosi and Tim Littlefield purchased the company from Jerry Leff as owner operators, keeping daily functions largely unchanged. In 2006 the business moved to the present day New Stanton location where a newly constructed office/warehouse facility was built to meet the specific needs of the modern day Leff Electronics.
